Project Description

Mechanical Engineering is a specialty of engineering that applies the principles of physics, chemistry and mathematics for analyzing, designing, manufacturing, and maintenance of mechanical systems. Mechanical engineers analyze their work using the principles of motion, energy, and force ensuring that designs function safely, efficiently, and reliably, all at a competitive cost. It is one of the oldest and broadest engineering disciplines. Every product or service in modern life has been touched in some way by a mechanical engineer to help humankind. This includes solving today’s problems and creating future solutions in health care, energy, transportation,   climate change, and more. We at KCNIT, focused over teaching learning towards the development of applied creativity along with strong networking, leadership, and conflict management skills. Our passed out students achieve great heights in the various domains of Mechanical Engineering after starting their journey as Maintenance Engineer, Quality Assurance, R&D Trainee, CNC Programmer, Design Engineer, CAD/CAM Trainer, Production Supervisor/Engineer, and Jr. Engineer etc.

Laboratories in the department are equipped with advanced manufacturing machines, different types of two stroke – four stroke engines, advanced lathe machines, universal testing machines, torsion testing machine, turbines, boilers, automotive heat furnaces etc.
